During our second stint of five years living full-time in Javea, I had learned nothing and resurrected a JaveaGuide approach – but this time as a website, GoJavea.com. After all I had the database that could be speedily dusted off and I enjoyed knowing what was going on in the town. We gathered this data on Javea into an informative site and again listed all the businesses. We produced window stickers for retailers to promote the site.
We introduced a coupon approach for advertisers on the site to promote aspects of their products and services. We issued them with QR-codes so that their clients could go to their ad and offer – this was new thinking.
We also began to offer low-cost real estate sales and rentals.
Having learned our lesson of not going anywhere but Javea, we chose to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary by travelling all around Thailand – perhaps there was something about the villa that prompted this connection?
