We have retraced our route to the Rising Sun. And now, proceed away from the Town Hall to enter Lower High Street. Walk as far at The Six Bells, then cross and comeback down the other side to Bliss Beauty. Keep a look out for the turning into Brook Lane, we will look at that below.
Lower High Street – both sides

He died in 1559 and his will funded the adjacent grammar school. (which moved in 1880). Now private homes. |  The Forge 71 Lower High St, OX9 3DY The Forge is a late 18th C Grade II listed house and forge. Originally, of course, a blacksmith’s home and workplace. Private home. |
