I was approached by Jon Hales of The Centre for Computing History (Cambridge UK) to visit their museum, which is packed with everything from my early days of participating in the personal computer business. It was however a weird time, the Covid Pandemic meant that our planned meeeting at the Centre took over eighteen months to come about.
We had a number of discussions over that period and when we met we recorded this 48-minute interview. I’m not sure they hired the right actor to play me, he looks a great deal older than I believe I am, but the camera seldom lies.
Much of this material is visited in Anecdotes but the interview brings out different approaches.
In the video we discuss Sweda, Hugin, KeyMed, Texas Instruments, Euroc, ACE/Dixons, Dragon 32, Electronic Insight, Micronet 800, Prism/Sinclair, Granada, Property Business Show, LIVE! the Consumer Electronics Show, Apple MacExpo, Adobe Live, Quark 7 launch, The PC Pioneers.
Hope you enjoy the video,
