PEDIGREE CHARTS
I set out to take a few weeks and create a simple Denton family history. Little did I know what was ahead! My expectation was to get back only to the early 19thcentury and with luck perhaps get a glimpse into the 18th, but probably no further than that.
I imagined it looking something like a pedigree chart, and hopefully that it would go a little further than this first approach:
But, as you will see, this was just a launching point.

Sir, I thank you for this endeavor. I am not a genealogist, or a professional researcher of any type.
I have used Ancestry.com to trace my family back to the 13th century. Now, at least as far as Ancestry.com appears, I am at a dead-end.
I do not know if we are from the same Denton family line. I was hoping to get some information from your page. At the very least for historical context.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Charles R. Denton
On Ancestry if you see my tree – ‘Robert Denton Family Tree 1’ – I have traced it back to the year 885 in Bambergh, though my 27th great grandfather was only added yetserday and I am working around his connections to try to get further.
I did link in to an American genealogical site that connected me via the Reverend Richard Denton (1603-1663), who migrated in the 1630s, first to Massachussetts, then Long Island and Virginia, this added several thousand US Dentons, but I have to confess that I have yet to spend any time on them. However among them, there is a Charles Raymond Denton b: 22 Jul 1923 Lancaster TX d: 23 Oct 1991 Dallas TX in – is he a relative of yours? He’s just a 12th cousin, twice removed to me – so quite distant!
