Statistics from the UN (United Nations) and WHO (World Health Organisation) places the average global life expectancy at just over 73 years of age today, And, suggest that, over the last twenty years, that had improved by over six years.
But this is as low as 50-60 in some countries. In 2020:
- the USA expectancy was 77.3 years;
- in the UK it was 80.9 years;
- Australia was 83.2 years.
This was published just as Covid struck, and yet the UK expectation for 2024 has risen to 81.8 years.
